The new 2017 Infiniti Q60 made its world premiere during the 2016 North American International Auto Show. It perfectly balances exhilarating performance and dynamics with expressive design elements to make it a stand out car in the premium sports coupe segment. Infiniti hopes the Q60 will continue to satisfy buyers also due to the handsome style, updated safety and personal technologies, and the fuel-efficient engines it offers. Rumors allege its release date has been set for the 2017 spring.
The exterior is bold, wider, and lower than its previous iterations. Furthermore, it expresses its powerful elegance via its taut, muscular lines, and daring proportions. Add this to the new digital suspension, adaptive steering, and an all-new lightweight and sophisticated 3.0L V6 twin-turbocharged engine and you’ve got yourself a premium sports car. With the new 2017 Infiniti Q60, not only will you get an outstanding output rated to up to 400 horsepower, but it also offers high levels of efficiency.
Also available for the new 2017 Q60 is a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 208 horsepower. Just like its immediate predecessor, power is channeled to either the standard RWD or the rear-based intelligent all-wheel drive system. The AWD is best suited for people living in areas with low-grip conditions such is snow-belt regions.
The driving dynamics are engineered to deliver a truly engaging sports coupe experience, with a distinct level of agile handling and ride comfort. The Dynamic Digital Suspension system has been designed to offer maximum ride comfort, handling responses and agility. Infiniti also offers the Q60 the Direct Adaptive Steering system that enables drivers to get optimum steering feel and feedback. Those looking to tailor and personalize the steering’s precise levels of feel and response have the Drive Mode Selector available.
“Thanks to the next-gen handling and ride technologies and an exhilarating output of up to 400 horsepower, the new 2017 Infiniti Q60 conveys a powerful stance through power and designs. With all these features intact, the new model is in no doubt poised to take the premium sports coupe class leadership, said President of Infiniti – Roland Krueger.
2017 Infiniti Q60 Release Date & Price
With the MSRP pricing slotting between $40 and $50k, the new model finds itself in a collision course with well-rounded rivals such as the 2017 BMW 4 Series, and the 2017 Audi A5. The Audi A5 comes with cutting-edge personal technology, while the BMW 4 Series boasts of near-perfect balance and aggressive looks. I’d say there’s not a bad one in the bunch.
When it comes to the Infiniti Q60 release date, rumors allege it should be expected sometime in mid-2017.
2017 Infiniti Q60 Exterior Spy Shots
As you can see from the images, the new model gets an elegant, powerful, and daring new design. Although the design has changed a bit from that of the existing model, signature Infiniti design cues are quite evident. The stylish cues communicate the performance potential of the Q60 coupe. Unlike most production models that veer off from the concept’s design, that of the Q60 remains faithfully intact. Signature design cues include unique deep-body stamping, double arch grille, LED headlights, and striking exterior silhouette.
The dimensions have increased, and so has the interior legroom. The new model also gets better driving dynamics thanks in part to the lower center of gravity, and greater stability and in-control driving potential. In fact, Q60’s drag coefficient is only 0.28 therefore implying the coupe has high levels of aerodynamic efficiency.
