2017 Hyundai Santa Fe – Release Date, News and Rumors

The fact that the new 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe costs less than other big names, and offers a length warranty and an appealing blend of power might tip your decision in its favor. Although it may not attract as much attention as some other three-row crossover SUVs in its class, the new model offers a strong V6 power, an easy to use technology interface, a classy interior design, and lots of comfort amenities. Its release date should be expected sometime in the second half of next year.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe side view, alloy wheels, auto show

The Hyundai Santa Fe suffers from several things: it doesn’t have a name recognition relative to some of its competition, it isn’t the freshest, and it’s neither the biggest. Actually, there is nothing so unique about it, and therefore it isn’t an obvious choice. Nonetheless, there are earnest reasons why you should give it a chance.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe front angle, headlights and grille

The redesigned 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe offers plenty of interior accommodations on its first two-passenger benches. In fact, it tops the segment in terms of providing ample head- and legroom. However, the third-row bench is best left to elementary school going children as the space is tight for adults to fit comfortably in.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe exterior, rear view, taillights and alloy wheels

The cabin is appealing and offers a relaxing ambience thanks to its simple and easy to use controls, premium materials, and clean, and attractive design layout. You’ll find the smartphone integration system on the touchscreen interface intuitive even if you’re often bewildered by the smartphone apps on your smartphone.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe side view, silver color, alloy wheels and headlights

Under the hood, motivation driving the 2017 Santa Fe comes from the potent V6 engine that offers ample power to provide a slightly-average acceleration, and laudable towing capacity. However, you’ll realize there are more agile vehicles in its segment that offer athletic performance, overall interior refinement, and composure.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe rear angle, taillights and tailpipe

Some of the downsides to owning the Santa Fe include: it misses in several key driver safety aides, and its cargo space is wanting relative to what the competition offers. Some of the rivals nipping its heels include the “A” rated 2017 Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander 2017 , Chevrolet Traverse, Kia Sorento and Ford Flex.

New 2017 Cadillac ELR – Release Date and Info

The new 2017 Cadillac ELR is a good-looking plug-in hybrid that not only bestows green credentials on its driver but also offers a sporty power and handling, ample and luxurious interior, and a contemporary styling. However, it lacks the everyday usefulness and refinement of other luxury plug-in sport coupes and hybrids. The 2017 Cadillac ELR release date should be expected sometime in the beginning of 2017, at least according to industry rumors.

2017 Cadillac ELR exterior, side view, auto show

Nowadays, sightings of hybrid-electric and all-electric cars are common particularly in the US cities. More and more automakers are unveiling their prototypes and some of them go ahead into the production stage. The last couple of years has seen their number grow, and more are expected in the future. But even so, especially among U.S car companies, the 2017 Cadillac ELR ha continued with its perennial leadership in its segment.

2017 Cadillac ELR rear view, black color, alloy wheels, taillights

It is muscular, chiseled, and handsome as a Hollywood leading man. When driven, the ELR is most of the time running on all-electric power, and the engine only comes to play whenever the battery’s charge has been depleted. According to Cadillac, a fully charged battery can offer up to 39 miles of an all-electric range. Throw in a full tank and you’ve got yourself a combined range of 330 miles.

2017 Cadillac ELR side view, silver color, alloy wheels and headlights

Although the ELR falls short of winning an Oscar in either the sport coupe of luxury car categories, it makes an intriguing proposition if you’re looking to make a fashion statement while reducing you environment footprint.

2017 Cadillac ELR spy shots, side view

The new ELR, just like the previous model, shares the same mechanical platform that underpins the Chevrolet Volt. However, the ELR model’s engineers plumbed the depth of their programming skills in retuning the ELR’s power management software. Therefore, the new model now offers a brisker acceleration, offers more equipment and interior refinement unlike the previous model.

2017 Cadillac ELR rear view, exterior, taillights, tailpipe and alloy wheels

Sadly, nitpicking has yielded quite some substantial reasons enough to make you reconsider your choice. The gasoline engine permeates lots of noise, the base MSRP is lofty, the touchscreen interface is flimsy, and the backseat is claustrophobic.

2017 Cadillac ELR Exterior Review & Interior Changes

2017 Cadillac ELR interior, gear shift knob and steering wheel

The new 2017 Cadillac ELR is offered in a single trim level and offers a seating capacity for four passengers. Some of the 2017 Cadillac ELR accessories include automatic high beam control, a heated steering wheel, keyless ignition and entry, rear folding seats, an eight-inch touchscreen interface, voice controls, a power telescopic-and-tilt steering wheel, rear and front parking sensors, twenty-inch alloy wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, a ten-speaker Bose sound system, USB connectivity, a navigation system, a CUE interface, folding rear seats, a leather upholstery, LED headlights, a rearview camera, adaptive suspension dampers, and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity.

2017 Cadillac ELR front angle, headlights and grille

Standard technologies include wireless charging capability, Cadillac’s Safety Alert Seat, forward collision warning system, rear cross traffic alerts, blind-spot warning system, OnStar emergency communications, and lane-departure warning and mitigation system.

Options available include a sport steering wheel, Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned suspension system, twenty-inch sport alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering, additional power seat adjustment, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and Kona brown leather upholstery.

2017 Cadillac ELR Engine Specs & Fuel Economy

A power rated at 157 hp and 295 lbs. ft. of torque is produced by an electric motor that gets its motivation from a 17.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Occasionally, the gasoline engine kicks in especially in situations where more power is needed. Otherwise, it’s used as an electricity generator for the electric drive motor.

Four drive modes are offered: Mountain, Hold, Normal, and Sport. These alter the powertrain’s efficiency and performance in different situations. The 2017 Cadillac ELR Sport 0-60, for instance, takes 6.4 seconds.

2017 Cadillac ELR engine

The ELR takes about four to five hours to fully recharge a depleted battery via the 240-V power source, and 12 hours via the 110-V station. The battery pack can also be recharged partially when driving through the engine generator and regenerative braking.

EPA is yet to offer conclusive fuel economy ratings, however, we should expect about 82 MPGe in overall.

2017 Jeep Renegade – Release Date, Review and Specs

With the 2017 Jeep Renegade priced at $24,645 and abundant character, best-in-class off-roading prowess, easy-to-use technology features, and agile handling, the new model is certainly welcome news. Throw in the rewarding, practical ride quality, and the reliability of the nameplate and you’ve got yourself an excellent option. The Jeep Renegade release date should be expected sometime in early 2017.

2017 Jeep Renegade side view, orange color, alloy wheels

The Jeep Renegade 2017 first perfectly within the subcompact crossover segment and shoppers looking around in its class will certainly find it to be a standout. Not everything is blissful about the Renegade, in fact cynics have debated for some time now about the correlation between its sales figures and the competition available. The argument has been the Renegade features and capabilities have been overtaken by events. But even despite this, the sales are still soaring high as ever.

2017 Jeep Renegade rear view, auto show,, taillights and tailpipe

The uniquely-styled Renegade is a peach on the road. The suspension does a great job in smoothening potholes and mundane road conditions including in off-roading maneuvers. The interior is well-cushioned and comfortable, and the stakes have been taken a notch higher by the number of technologies available.

2017 Jeep Renegade spy shots, front view

Opting for the 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk model, however, reduces the cushioned ride quality and replaces it with a rough-and-tumble one. This downside is well-compensated by the wide array of off-road abilities that Jeep says is unrivaled in its class. unlike the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk’s average suspension articulation, that of the Renegade makes it a cinch on the road and therefore offers better maneuverability on crowded streets and tight streets.

2017 Jeep Renegade side view, red color, alloy wheels

If you are hellbent on getting an all-rounded vehicle in this class, chances are the Jeep Renegade 2017 isn’t the best option for you. Its automatic transmission sounds clunked and confused, the fuel economy ratings are middling, wind noise intrusive; and the cargo capacity, modest. But this American-inspired vehicle has, nevertheless, solid reasons to make those downsides disappear away.

2017 Jeep Renegade rear view, green color, taillights and tailpipe

Some of the options available in its class include the Nissan Juke, 2017 Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Subaru Crosstrek, and the Fiat 500X.

New 2017 Chevrolet Malibu – Release Date, Specs & Info

With features such as a strong turbocharged engine, a spacious interior laden with upscale technologies and premium materials, responsive and crisp infotainment screen, and a refined ride quality, the redesigned 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is now a fully competitive midsize sedan that promises to offer its traditional rivals a run for their money. The Malibu release date should be expected in the first quarter of 2017, at least according to online sources.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu side view, red color, alloy wheels

While we didn’t offer the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu a mediocre review, we weren’t particularly fascinated with it, either. Relative to some of its competitors and recently refreshed models, the 2016 model offered a stout engine performance, comfortable and memorable ride quality, but what appeared odd was its rental-fleet styling and cramped limited second-row seat.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu rear view, exterior, taillights

The 2017 model, on the other hand, is thoroughly refreshed and lacks the same foibles the previous model came with. One notable aspect that stands out in its cabin is the striking interior design. The seats are comfortable and supportive, the interior ambience is premium, and the touchscreen interface is worth giving the downer some bragging rights.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu front angle, headlights and grille

In fact, its interior evokes the Audi A7 styling with its sleek faux-hatchback highlight. In all objectiveness, the Malibu is one car that anyone with a liking for sleekness, modern styling flourishes, and laudable performance will particularly find appealing. Indeed, it may be the first Malibu model that won’t look out of place in the tony California seaside town where it derives its name since the early ‘70s. Opting for the 2017 Chevrolet Malibu Limited takes things a notch higher with its level of refinement and performance.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu exterior, front view, headlights, grille, alloy wheels

Things are tinkered under the hood, as well. The base offers a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that offers better fuel economy and suitable low-rpm oomph in comparison to the outgoing model that has a naturally aspirated 2.5L base engine. The ride quality is smooth and more vigor can be offered by the optional turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission system.

The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is nearly 300 pounds lighter and has wheelbase that’s been stretched nearly 4 inches, making it more fuel efficient, more functional and more agile.

The 2017 model comes replete with upscale features and technologies, but not that the outgoing model wasn’t. It simply adds latest technologies and premium features that the latter lacked such as a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alerts, a multi-view camera, lane-departure warning and mitigation, wood and metal accents, and an upgraded touchscreen interface.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu rear view, taillights, alloy wheels

Interior materials are premium and offer plenty of adjustability. The cramped backseat has been corrected and now offers ample leg- and headroom thanks to the improved dimensions. So yes. The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is awesome.

But so are some of its primary rivals. They include the 2017 Honda Accord, and the Mazda 6 for 2017.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu – Trim Options

Four main trims are offered: LT, L, LS, and the Premier. The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu SS review is covered separately, as is the Hybrid model.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu Exterior Review & Interior Photos

Some of the exterior 2017 Chevrolet Malibu colors include Blue Velvet Metallic, Champagne Silver Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Autumn Bronze Metallic, Crystal Red Tintcoat, Nightfall Gray Metallic, Butte Red Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, and Summit White. Slight changes should however be expected on its release date.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu interior, lcd screen, steering wheel

Some of the standard features available on the 2017 Chevrolet Malibu L model include manual front-seat height adjusters, cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, sixteen-inch wheels, a six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, OnStar, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a rear 60/40-split folding seats, upgraded cloth upholstery, automatic headlights, smartphone app integration, a seven-inch touchscreen interface, and a rearview camera.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu Engine Specs & Fuel Economy

Under the hood of the 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, motivation is offered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 160 horsepower and 184 lbs. ft. of torque. All models are offered with a rear wheel drive, and a six-speed automatic transmission for the L, LS, and 1LT trim models.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu engine

Offered with the Malibu Premier and 2LT trim models is turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0L engine good for 250 horsepower and 260 pounds-ft. of torque. An eight-speed auto is offered as the standard transmission system.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu engine view

When we come to the fuel economy, we should expect the 2.0L mill to return 22/33/26 mpg in the city/highway/combined, and 27/37/31 mpg with the 1.5L engine.

2017 Chevrolet Malibu Release Date & Price

2017 Chevrolet Malibu Release date
