The new 2017 Acura MDX offers lots of value for the money, excellent top crash-tests scores, an adept handling, a hush cabin, a confident acceleration, and familiar comfort, value, and performance. Its release date should be expected sometime at the middle of next year, although it still a contentious issue as of this writing.
The popular 2017 Acura MDX is almost back again on the market, and comes with some of the latest nitty-gritties as standard and a slew of standard features. The MDX has a solid reputation for offering a strong reliability and resale value, and this is especially true for the new 2017 model.
Numerous updates and exterior and interior changes should be expected once the MDX is released to the market. Our spy photos reveal Acura has made some changes to the existing color palette and buyers should look out for more additions. Other exterior add-ons are mild and include rejuvenated headlight and taillights design.
On its interior, plenty of upscale features and technologies have been offered. Equipment, for example, include a nine-speed automatic transmission system, a blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, automatic braking, a rearview camera, and lane-departure warning and mitigation. Throw in Acura’s rewarding driving dynamics and you’ve got yourself an excellent three-row luxury crossover.
It is satisfying to ride on the road. Its cabin is quiet and the drive quality is surprisingly athletic especially at around turns. The 3.5L V6 engine offered under its hood may lack a solid rpm figure, but winding it out a bit will make you realize that it can actually be one of the quickest in its segment.
Few foibles exist, however. They include a dim-witted adaptive cruise control, a modest cargo capacity, subpar graphics, and a less-luxurious feeling cabin look. Even so, the new 2017 Acura MDX is arguably the most sensible choice in the segment of midsize luxury SUVs.
Alternatives you can consider in the segment include the 2017 Audi Q7 and the 2017 Volvo XC90. They are both versatile, fuel-thrifty, and have a more restrained design. Others include the 2017 Honda Pilot, the 2017 Infiniti QX60, and the 2017 BMW X5.
