The new 2017 Audi Q3 continues with the same comfort and luxury ambience expected of the brand. It also offers a hush and improved ride quality, many luxury features, and an upscale interior relative to its competition. However, its rivals could end up being more appealing as the Q3 comes a bit short when it comes to utility, fuel economy and consumption. Its release date should be expected sometime in early 2017.
Just as the Audi Q5 compact crossover has had a successful streak in its segment, we also hope the Q3 – its smaller sibling – will also measure up to expectations. In most ways, we expect the Q3 to have to have an easy time delivering such as in its interior refinement, technology updates, standard features, ride quality, and value for the money.
Cabin sophistication has long been Audi hallmark, and the Q3 continues with the same legacy. On most surfaces, you’ll realize the Q3 offers a serene character. Additionally, you will find the cabin relaxing and entertaining with its desirable equipment.
But even with its many bells and whistles, the new Q3 still suffers from several foibles. For one, the propriety music interface is dated. The four cylinder turbocharged engine is also archaic relative to what the competition offers.
In sum, the new Q3 still deserves some merits on certain areas especially if you’re drawn to its style, but otherwise, the new Q3 might not measure up to what you expect. Of course, there are plenty of other desirable and similarly priced subcompact luxury crossovers in the same category.
They include the BMW X1, and the Lexus NX 200t. Another option would be its bigger sibling, the 2017 Audi Q5. The X1 offers better fuel economy, superior performance, and cutting-edge technology. The 200t, on the other hand, is neck-and-neck with the Q3 in terms of the technologies, but is better in terms of acceleration, fuel efficiency and interior space.
