The BMW M4 GTS 2017 comes second to none when it comes to performance – at least according to its price starting point. It comes equipped with an innovative water injection technology fused on the multiple award-winning six-cylinder in-line turbocharged 3.0L engine to offer a stonking output rated at an incredible 500 horsepower and 442 pounds-feet of torque. In spite of the power, the vehicle still manages to keep carbon emissions on check. The power enables it zoom from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 189.5 mph.
Thanks to clever engineering, the new BMW M4 GTS curb weight stands at 1,585 kg. The lightweight body structure is as a result of significant use of lightweight materials during the construction of its chassis and body panels. Furthermore, the weight-saving measures extend even in its cockpit notably. The rear seat paneling, center console, bucket seats, and boot area partition are all lightweight.
In terms of comfort amenities, the new model comes with state-of-the-art seats’ designs that offer impressive lateral support and comfort. There’re also lots of convenient, and infotainment features for the money. Some of the accessories that optimize performance include the launch control, Drivelogic shift programs, a seven-speed M DCT system, and a three-way M coilover suspension system.
Once available for sale, the new model will have to square it out with the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe Edition 1. It comes equipped with a 4.0L V8 engine able to churn out 503 hp and 516 pounds-feet of torque, which enables it zoom from 0-60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and go on to achieve a top speed of 180 mph.

2017 BMW M4 GTS Exterior
The exterior profile is dominated by the prominent three-dimensionality of its lines and its muscular contours, which give it an expressive face. The powerful sculpted front apron with its trio of large air intakes, eye-catching front grille with M double bars, and the twin-circular headlights give it a cutting-edge stance and set it apart from the rest of the M nameplate brethren. Again, it comes with exclusive features such as the striking M exterior mirrors, loftier sporting pretensions, and a large air outlet.
Aerodynamics have also been improved thanks to the low-slung silhouette, dynamic lines. The exterior also gets a hunkered-down look thanks to the contoured roofline, and clear-coated, dark-colored CFRP roof. Around back, the M4 GTS can be identified by its unique double-chamber exhaust system, and rear wheel arches.
2017 BMW M4 GTS Interior
For a racier feel, almost every part of the vehicle is finished in black or dark grey apart from the orange 12-o’clock stripe, Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and white contrast stitching on a few surfaces. As already mentioned, the interior also continues with the same weight-saving measures of the exterior features. For instance, the rear seats have been ditched altogether to help conserve weight.
The new 2017 BMW M4 GTS is offered in one well-equipped trim model.
The same engine that motivates the existing model also returns for the newest version. For starters, it is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine able to crank 493 horsepower and 443 lbs. ft. of torque. 0-60 mph takes around 3.9 seconds.
Safety has been emphasized by BMW given the breathtaking speed with which it travels whether on track or on the highway. Plenty of safety technologies are available for the occupants’ safety. Again, the government offered the previous version a perfect score of five out of five stars for overall safety protection. The same ratings are expected to be offered for the new model.
