With its serene and quiet ride manners, excellent crash test scores, lots of interior accommodations, sleek, feature laden cabin, a laudable V6 engine, and voluptuous trunk, the new 2017 Chevrolet Impala is a smart choice for a large sedan. Its release date should be expected sometime in the first half of next year.
You might wonder why the Impala manages to draw such a huge cache of followers, well, here are some of the reasons: it has the big-car basics down, what with its voluptuous cargo capacity, smooth ride, and spacious interior accommodations large enough to relocate a small village in Africa.
Relative to what its competition offers, we are impressed by the feature-rich cabin the Impala offers. Such features include a multi-view camera, adaptive cruise control, leather/leatherette upholstery, blind-spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, crisp-graphic infotainment system, lane-departure warning, and forward collision alert. The eight-inch infotainment system has now faster response rate and is easier to use than the outgoing model’s, and even novice smartphone users will find it exciting.
The options list and packages is dizzying just like in the previous model, albeit the cost will certainly render its affordability highlight obsolete. The Impala delivers on the highway, as big cars, of course, are meant to be mile-eaters.
It is always prudent to check what other sedans offer before settling on the “love at the first sight.” The Toyota Avalon, one of our favorites in the segment, happens to be the perennial kingpin here with its appealing techs and performance, and also offers a Hybrid model. Others include the stylish and bold 2017 Chrysler 300, Kia Cadenza, Hyundai Azera 2017, and the Hyundai Genesis.
