Than before, the new GMC Acadia Denali 2017 is lighter and smaller, making it easier to maneuver in tight spots, and gets improved fuel economy ratings. With a test drive around the block, you’ll definitely agree that the new model is a stout rival among the top-rated SUVs in its class. “The all-new 2017 Acadia Denali leverages GMC’s proven dependability, reliability and drive quality experience to take on arguably one of the largest vehicle segments. GMC takes pride in developing vehicles that offer a strong blend of capability, technology, and design, and these elements have continued to make the brand strong and unrelenting. After almost a decade in production, GMC finally caved in to consumer demands and finally gave its midsize SUV a complete makeover. Relative to the outgoing model, the new model’s dimensions measure 6.6 inches shorter in height, 3.5 inches narrower, and 7.2 inches in the length. The impact of these changes in the dimensions is a reduction in both cargo and passenger space. On the positive side however, GMC users will benefit in terms of fuel efficiency, and maneuverability especially in tight spots.
As previously mentioned, the new model has also reduced its curb weight. To be more specific, the new model now weighs 700 pounds lighter than before. With all these changes and redesigns in place, the new model finds itself positioned between the full-size Yukon and the compact Terrain. “Unlike the previous Acadia models, the new model offers greater refinement, more intuitive features, and immense responsiveness behind the wheel. But even with the changes, the new models remain true to their roots and offer the functionality Acadia is known for, while delivering big balances and advantages to customers’ everyday lives, said executive chief engineer for crossover and compact SUVs GM – Rick Spina.
