The Ford Fusion has been a hit with consumers for some time now ever since it replaced the immediate model back in 2013. Ford ensured there was everything for everyone by offering multiple powertrain options, an attractive interior, and a handsome Aston Martin-esque grille. Five years have gone by and the Fusion is still a big nameplate in the automotive industry.

However, in order to up its sleeve to keep shoppers’ interests high, the new 2017 Ford Fusion has several few tricks up its sleeve as Ford knows too well that inertia is the death knell in this ultra-competitive segment.

Therefore 2017 Ford Fusion changes include an easier and faster to use Sync 3 infotainment system that replaces the critiqued MyFord Touch interface. In addition to the efficiency, the new Sync 3 system is also credited for its large, smartphone-style menus and buttons. Well, the changes don’t stop there, with an output of 325 hp and 350 lbs. ft. torque offered by the 2.7L turbocharged V6 engine, the Fusion is arguably the hot rod of its class.

It recently got a rejuvenation of its own and should be a worthy pick. Others hot on the heels of the Ford Fusion 2017 include 2017 Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, Chevrolet Malibu 2017 , and Kia Optima.

Compact crossovers make for great choices when it comes to going on a ski weekend trip, taking kids to school, commuting to work, or loading up lots of cargo from Costco. Unequivocally missing, though, is a sense of fun. In all fairness, the Escape drives like a Focus on tiptoes, but on the upside, it is among the fastest crossovers in the segment in terms of price comparison.

It also offers respectable fuel economy ratings, a voluptuous cargo bay, a hands-free power liftgate, and improved traction thanks to the optional all-wheel drive system. Also for 2017, the Escape comes equipped with a BlackBerry-powered Sync 3 system that, unlike the previous Myford Touch infotainment system plagued by usability issues since its conception, offers a simplified menu and faster response times.

Whether or not its interior is refined lies solely on an individual preferential taste, but what we know is that lots of technologies are offered including but not limited to a rearview camera, USB connectivity, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, voice controls, and a 4.2” central display. The cabin also offers a premium feel and a rewarding ride quality thanks to the premium materials and suspension upgrades.

2017 Ford Focus RS – Release Date, Review and Specs

The new 2017 Ford Focus RS is a hot hatch that offers more than you can bargain for: a bonkers engine, an all-wheel drive, and ample space for backseat passengers. What’s even more, it comes with a tenacious grip, plenty of high-tech options, and a stylish and well-appointed interior. The Ford Focus RS 2017 release date should be expected sometime this fall as a 2017 year model.

2017 Ford Focus RS exterior, side view, alloy wheels

For starters in this niche of cars, the Ford Focus is a high-performance vehicle that rivals the likes of Subaru WRX, and the Volkswagen Golf GTI among others in its class. It offers more grunt than any of the two. Hype aside, it packs a 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine beneath its hood capable of cranking out a smoking 350 pounds-ft. of torque and 350 horsepower. This power is then transferred to all the four wheels via the six-speed manual transmission system which is hitched to an AWD system. Most of its European rivals are offered with a FWD.

2017 Ford Focus RS rear view, taillights, tailpipe and alloy wheels

The 2017 Ford Focus RS interior has been spruced up by Ford for purposes of conforming the RS to modern times. There’re plenty of near-luxury materials on its cabin such as blue stitching, multi-color stitching, and extra gauges atop the dash. These visual flares add to the allure which the Spartan-like Subaru STI can find hard to match.

The infotainment system comes with several appealing features such as the smartphone app connectivity feature that also features “pinch” and “swipe” functionalities. The menu layout and graphical quality is simple and easy to use even for those who are often beleaguered by the thought of operating a smartphone.

True competitors for the Ford Focus RS 2017 are few in its class. Nevertheless, those that try to edge closer include the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG, 2017 Audi S3, Subaru WRX STI, and the Volkswagen Golf R.

New 2017 Ford C Max Energi – Release Date, Specs & Info

Depending on your priorities, the new 2017 Ford C Max Energi offers a nice balance between utility, refinement, fuel economy, and electric range. However, there are other desirable competitors out there which you might find appealing, too. Its release date should be expected sometime in early 2017.

2017 Ford C Max Energi auto show, rear view, white color, taillights

Notable highlights for 2017 include an elevated driving position, a decent electric range, well-trimmed cabin, a quick acceleration, high fuel economic, and excellent driving dynamics. While they might not be suitable for everyone, electric cars like the 2017 Ford C Max Energi are mainly for those who don’t do long-distance daily commuting and who seek high fuel economy figures.

2017 Ford C Max Energi front angle, headlights and grille

An electric range of 19 miles is offered by the C Max Energi which as a result of a battery and plug-in powertrain combo. Regular gasoline-electric hybrid setup is reverted back to once the all-electric range is used up. During this mode, the battery is recharged entirely from the excess braking energy and engine power. This recharging system boosts the fuel economy ratings to nearly 90 MPGe thanks to the short bursts delivered during an all-electric travel.

2017 Ford C Max Energi front view, grille, headlights and alloy wheels

Aside from the impressive functionality of the plug-in system, the model is a standout in terms of interior refinement and driving refinement. It offers a solid and composed ride, respectable acceleration, and offers a remarkable responsive steering just like it’s separately reviewed 2017 Ford C Max Hybrid stablemate.

2017 Ford C Max Energi exterior, side angle, alloy wheels

There are few foibles, though. Its ride quality has been found to be stiffer, its cargo volume limited, and its sticker price far more expensive relative to its competition. Although these downsides are significant reasons to make any potential owner think twice, they’re far from deal-breakers.

Some of the few alternatives you can consider include the Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid, Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid, and 2017 Chevrolet Volt. We still think the new 2017 Ford C Max Energi is well worth considering.

Trim Options – 2017 Ford C Max Energi

The five-passenger 2017 Ford C Max Energi is offered in a single well-trimmed SEL trim level. As already mentioned, the 2017 Ford C Max Hybrid review is separately handled elsewhere on this blog.

Exterior Changes & 2017 Ford C Max Energi Review

2017 Ford C Max Energi Engine Specs & Fuel Economy

Motivation for the 2017 Ford C Max Energi is offered by a four-cylinder 2.0L gasoline engine mated to an electric motor. The motor gets its power from a 7.6 kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery pack. The result of this is a power output of 188 horsepower.

Charging time from a 240-V charging station takes about two hours and a half to recharge a depleted battery pack. However, opting for the 120V lengthens the time to at least five hours.

2017 Ford C Max Energi engine

A fully charged battery pack, according to Ford, will take you to up to 19 miles of pure electric power.

Zipping from 0-60 mph with a 2017 Ford C Max Energi takes 7.8 seconds – a quick time than the C Max Hybrid or any other hybrid for that matter.

Unfortunately, the EPA fuel economy ratings weren’t available as of this writing, but we should expect a combined fuel economy rating of about 38 mpg, if the previous model’s ratings were to set the benchmark.

The changes are subtle on the exterior but a closer look at the interior will certainly give you the right picture of what we’re talking about. The 2017 Ford Explorer interior is vastly different from the existing model in certain aspects such as the technologies, material quality, and interior room.

2017 Ford Explorer exterior, side view, headlights and alloy wheels

Beneath the hood, the top-of-the-line 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum model comes equipped with a 3.5L gasoline engine rated at 365 horsepower @5,500rpm and 350 pounds-feet of torque @3,500 rpm. 2017 Ford Explorer Sport exterior, side view, alloy wheels

Besides the smorgasbord of updates and redesigns, the 2017 Ford Explorer is still marred by certain foibles. The exterior visibility, just like the existing model, is mediocre. It feels pretty big behind the wheel similar to other automotive behemoths. The cargo space, relative to other vehicles in its class, is rather modest.

2017 Ford Explorer rear view, taillights, tailpipe, alloy wheels

That said, it’d be judicious to check what other vehicles the segment offers before making a decision. Some of these include the “A” rated Toyota Highlander, 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Pilot, and GMC Acadia for 2017. They are worth your consideration if you’re looking for additional interior space, better driving dynamics, and a versatile interior.

New 2017 Ford Galaxy Release Date, Specs & Info

Ford Motor Company is once again offering the all-new 2017 Ford Galaxy. Past users of the Galaxy will agree with me (of course there’re some exceptions) that the Galaxy embodies luxury, refinement, spaciousness, and technological advancement. Be my guest for today, and enjoy the piece that also includes crucial details like the expected release date and price, and a score of others.

Just like the 2016 Galaxy that was the first Galaxy to use the Ford’s latest global design language with slim-line headlamps, and a sophisticated grille, the new model also enables easy seat-and load configurations. All of these configurations can happen in a push of a button. For 2017, comfort is taken a notch higher courtesy of the upgraded materials and Ford’s Multi-Contour Seats function. Rear passengers also benefit from a smoother, quieter ride quality thanks to the integral link rear suspension system.

A score of driver-assistance systems are available for drivers including but not limited to Glare-Free Highbeam technology with the LED adaptive headlights. While retaining maximum illumination for other areas, this technology fades out light that could dazzle drivers of oncoming vehicles. The Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection helps drivers avoid impacts, or reduces the severity of some frontal collisions involving pedestrians and vehicles. Last, but certainly not the least, is the Intelligent Speed Limiter technology. This system adjusts the throttle to help drivers maintain legal speed limits and avoid fines when activated.

Another notable offering that makes optimizes precision and maneuverability is the Adaptive Steering technology. Throw in a powerful twin-turbocharged 2.0L TDCi diesel engine and you’ve got a truly dependable vehicle with car-like driving dynamics for an excellent driving feel in most driving situations. According to vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe – Roelant de Waard, “The refreshed Ford Galaxy has been constructed to ensure passengers get first-class safety, comfort, and versatility achieved through extensive use of witty innovations, and improved levels of refinement, efficiency, and dynamics.”

Ford has maximized usable interior space for passengers and luggage alike. And thanks to the control panel available in the cargo compartment, all the seats in the second- and third rows can easily be folded flat especially when additional cargo space is needed. All this is done through the push of a button, just like 2016 Galaxy users can attest to.

2017 Ford Galaxy Release Date & Price

2017 Ford Galaxy release date

Ford is keeping mum about the two details, at least as at the time of this review writing. Credible reports however say the new model lacks any significant changes over its immediate predecessor to warrant a notable price increase. As such, the new model should be expected to go for sale for around $29,000. As regards the release date, expect the new model sometime in the fall of 2017.

2017 Ford Galaxy Exterior

2017 Ford Galaxy front angle, headlights and grille

The exterior design of the new model, at least according to the Ford’s teaser images and spy photos, is sophisticated and contemporary. However, the same design language that highlighted the existing model is used. To present a strong, elegant, and mature character, the new model comes with slightly redesigned slim-line headlights that flow into the raised beltline. The exterior visibility has improved thanks to the redesigned thin window pillars and the impression given by the merging of the taillights and the window glass.

2017 Ford Galaxy Interior

While details of the interior are speculative at the moment, our spies managed to get photos that may tell us a thing or two about what we should expect. First, the interior design is sophisticated and mature. Detailing options are abundant and include charcoal metallic, aluminum, and silk black or high-gloss.

As before however, the new model returns with the driver-oriented ten-inch digital screen with animated rev-counter and analogue-style speedometer. Personalization and interaction can be customized through the 3D graphics and the display settings on the digital screen.

2017 Ford Expedition – Release Date and Specs

Although truck-based crossovers are fast becoming overshadowed by car-based crossovers, the redesigned 2017 Ford Expedition remains a solid choice in its segment thanks to its interior flexibility, impressive towing and cargo capacities, spacious third-row accommodations, and easy-folding rear seats. Its release date should be expected sometime in the latter half of 2017, at least for the U.S consumers.

2017 Ford Expedition exterior, black color

Are you looking for a crossover that provides remarkable hauling and towing capacities? Spacious interior accommodations? Or/and one that balances between power and size? If you’re the one dealing with the above questions, rest assured the 2017 Ford Expedition has got you covered. It provides ample space with its third-rows of seating configuration, impressive hauling and towing capacities, and laudable output to get you anywhere faster and comfortably. The cargo department is also voluptuous and will probably bundle everything you throw at it.

2017 Ford Expedition Platinum exterior, taillights

Under its hood is a brawny turbocharged V6 engine rated at 365 horsepower that enables the Expedition offer an exciting cruising regardless of whether you on dirt of asphalt. 9,200 pounds is the maximum towing capacity the Expedition can offer when fully loaded, while 130.8 cubic ft. is the maximum volume the extended length model can stuff.

2017 Ford Expedition front angle, grille and headlights

The newest Expedition also makes use of the upgraded Sync 3 infotainment system that not only offers faster response times but is also feted for being user-friendly even for those who are often beleaguered by smartphone apps. Owning the Expedition needs a thorough assessment as it may not be an ideal vehicle for anyone. It sheer size means it will often be difficult to pack in compact city spaces. Its massive curb weight also means dieting isn’t one of its priorities, and, therefore, the fuel economy ratings aren’t impressive by any measure.

2017 Ford Expedition rear angle, tailpipe and taillights

That said, you’d probably want to ask yourself whether you actually want it or you need it. In case the latter suffices then the Expedition is highly recommended but if the former is true, then we’d suggest you check what the competition offers first. Some of its rivals include Toyota Sequoia, 2017 Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon.

The new 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is the most race-ready, track-capable ever built. And for 2017, Ford Performance is adding even more features to the already high-tech smorgasbord of technologies available. This in essence means buyers will have plenty of features they want along with having the option of specifying even more, albeit at you own cost. Read more to get an in-depth analysis of what you should expect on its release date.

2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 spy shots

Here’s a bit of history. Ford conceptualized the GT350 nameplate as early as five decades ago. Beneath its hood was a powerful 4.7L V8 engine that offered a decent 271 ponies and was later uprated to offer 35 more ponies at the Shelby American’s shop. And it was this same place that it also got front disc brakes, larger rear drum brakes, and heavy-duty rear axles. Due to the overwhelming success the model got in its first run in the segment, Ford continued offering it more cosmetic changes than performance updates for the next 4 years. After that, the nameplate went into a long hiatus and only resurfaced from abyss in 2011 when the moniker returned as the 5th gen model.

Now in its sixth generation, the new 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 with its enormous strength and muscle, is set to take on competitors such as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and the Dodge Challenger. The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 according to rumors is set for a major revamp that will include a power improvement in among other things it is set to offer. In the meantime however, there’s the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that comes fitted with a 7.0L naturally-aspirated V8 engine able to crank out 505 horsepower and 481 lbs. ft. of torque. The Challenger on the other side comes with a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine rated at 485 ponies and 475 lbs. ft. of torque.

Visually, the new GT350 is perhaps the meanest looking Mustang ever created. Aside from the headlamps, everything else is completely different from the base Mustang. In order to reduce drag, the whole nose has been shrunk in every direction. Away from that, there’re an assortment of aerodynamic upgrades available including angled ducts, huge hood vent, and a new splitter.

For the new model year, Ford has lined up a number of upgrades for the 2017 Ford Everest. The new Everest just like its predecessors is a rugged 7-passenger off-roader we want but can’t get. It is available for folks living in New Zealand, Philippines, Australia, China, or basically anywhere else that’s not Europe or the USA. Off-road nerds will undoubtedly find the new Ford Everest to be a tantalizing option that is hard to ignore. The new model compares similarly to Jeep’s features that bona fide its off-roading capability such as a real locking transfer case, and a solid rear axle. Other features include an electronic-locking rear differential and digital displays, and the high-tech Terrain Management System. The latter system offers snow, sand, street, and off-road settings, managing hill control, torque vectoring, and throttle response.

According to president, Ford Asia Pacific, Dave Schoch, “The new Ford Everest 2017 is equally prepared for everyday versatility as it is for extreme off-roading. In addition to its exceptional versatility, it also offers a distinct blend of exceptional comfort and tough capability that resonates well with drivers across the globe.”

Indeed, just like the 2016 Everest it is replacing, the newest of the breed combines style, smart features, and strength with unshakable technological prowess and toughness to bring consumers a versatile and tough SUV with unmatched off-road capability. Drivers, their families, colleagues, and friends will appreciate the toughness and refinement the new 2017 Everest offers. It offers a comfortable and smooth drive quality regardless of whether it is cruising on urban roads or far off the beaten path.”

Once available, the new model will probably face a stiff competition from its arch-rival – the Mitsubishi Pajero. Those in the U.S will find comparable capability in the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

It is instantly recognizable on the road thanks to its imposing projector headlights and trapezoidal grille. The 2016 model was offered with three cab body styles. The new model likewise returns with the four-door Double Cab, and two-door Super Cab and Regular Cab.
