New 2017 Toyota Prius – Release Date, Specs & Info

If you’re looking for impressive fuel economy, look no further than the 2017 Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius release date should be expected sometime in the second quarter of 2017, at least as per the recent media rumors.

2017 Toyota Prius side view, exterior, alloy wheels

For some couple of years now, the Toyota Prius has continually established itself as one of the best fuel-efficient vehicles in the segment, and the new 2017 model only comes to cement an already thriving vehicle on can buy. But even so, the Prius is not all about thriftiness at the pump, as the vehicle has been refined both on its exterior and interior and this only proves that the automaker isn’t coasting on its success.

2017 Toyota Prius rear view, red color, taillights, tailpipe, alloy wheels

The exterior design is radically different from the existing model it is replacing and whether or not it’s appealing should be left for Prius fans. Aside from the styling, one of the most compelling reasons that drives consumers to dealerships in search of Prius is mostly because of fuel efficiency. With an EPA rating of about 52 mpg, what! Yes folks, 52 mpg, things have just gotten better for 2017.

2017 Toyota Prius spy shots, front view

But wait, opting for the Prius Eco gets you a whopping 56 mpg in combined city/highway rating. Throw in the decent road manners and improved interior refinement, and you’ve got yourself an excellent vehicle worth bragging about at the pump.

2017 Toyota Prius side view, blue color, alloy wheels

There is plenty more to recommend starting with the less-retrained hard acceleration, improved head- and legroom, upright driving position, bumps are readily absorbed, lower and wider stance, and improved cargo bay. There is therefore no doubt that the Prius is one of the most practical vehicle in the segment.

2017 Toyota Prius rear view, exterior, taillights

The Prius enjoys a lack of rivalry in its class, but even with some trying to upset its standing on the segment, they’re still no match. They include Toyota Camry Hybrid, Ford Fusion Hybrid, and the 2017 Chevrolet Volt.

2017 Toyota Tacoma – Release Date, Review and Specs

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma is a midsize pickup that boasts of a ‘do it all capability’. Some of the reasons that uphold the tag include an impressive resale value paralleled to none other, super performance and power, an attractive interior, a high towing capacity, and easy to use controls. Speculation is rife the Toyota Tacoma 2017 release date is set for this fall as a 2017 year model.

2017 Toyota Tacoma side view, gray color, alloy wheels

The Tacoma has been a popular alternative for shoppers who feel the regular full-size trucks are a tad bit too expensive or massive behind the wheel. The new Tacoma for 2017 has slightly been redesigned with few changes made on the interior materials and technologies, and on the exterior but remains a Tacoma to the core.

2017 Toyota Tacoma exterior, side view, alloy wheels

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma interior has seen incremental changes that upgrade the quality of the materials. What however doesn’t change is the overall layout of the center console. The seats are comfortable and supportive and you’ll certainly enjoy the ride quality even for long distances. Aside from the burnished appeal, the 2017 Tacoma comes with a familiar powertrain that offers the same power as the model it is replacing.

2017 Toyota Tacoma spy shots

To wit, it comes with a standard 2.7L four-cylinder engine rated at 159 hp and 180 lbs. ft. of torque. There’s also the V6 with a displacement of 3.5L and offers an output of around 278 horsepower and 265 pounds-feet of torque.

2017 Toyota Tacoma rear view, blue color, taillights and badges

Sum up all the features and you quickly come to terms that very few vehicles in its class can measure up. Such vehicles include the 2017 GMC Canyon, and the Chevrolet Colorado. The Nissan Frontier is yet another rival.

2017 Toyota Tacoma Review of Trims

New 2017 Toyota Tundra Release Date, Specs & Info

The new 2017 Toyota Tundra is a serious off-roader and one among the few in the wider market sphere that prides itself as being unabashedly and proudly American creation. Sadly, it lags behind other pickup trucks in many respects. Some of the reasons that should compel you to get the Tundra include strong V8 powertrains, unique off-road-themed TRD Pro, user-friendly technologies, large double cab with traditional rear doors, and a colossal CrewMax cab. The Toyota Tundra release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017.

2017 Toyota Tundra side angle, headlights, alloy wheels, blue color

The Tundra finds itself in a precarious situation in its class owing to the fact that it will have to face off with trucks from Ford, Ram, and GM. And this has nothing to do with the fact that it is from a Japanese marque, the Tundra is actually manufactured in Texas, here in the United States.

2017 Toyota Tundra front angle, headlights and grille

Tundra state of affairs is pretty much about its age. Its aging and doing so pretty fast relative to other trucks in its class. For starters, the Tundra underwent a thorough update two years ago and with it came a smorgasbord of changes and add-ons including updated safety technologies, improved cabin design, and revised exterior styling. Industry pundits however were not impressed and likened the changes to a kitchen remodel as compared to breaking out the wrecking ball and fully rebuilding up from the abyss of the foundation.

2017 Toyota Tundra rear angle, taillights and tailpipe

The revisions weren’t solid enough to fix the foibles the Tundra was known for, and which, by the way, continue to pull it down even to date. The Ford F-150, for instance, is one of the segment’s best and continues to impress with its level of refinement and performance, lightweight aluminum body, and tons of standard technologies. The Chevrolet Silverado is yet another vehicle that has seen incremental improvements in just about every vehicular facet. Last, but certainly not the least, is the Ram 1500. It offers an impressive fuel-efficient turbodiesel V6 engine and a coil spring suspension system that allows it to offer a respectable ride quality.

2017 Toyota Tundra side view, blue color, alloy wheels

The Tundra, in stark contrast, scores poorly on almost every area of its existence. Fuel economy ratings are subpar. The 4.6L V8, for instance, returns 15/19/16 mpg in the city/highway/combined with the 2WD, and 14/18/16 mpg with the 4WD system. The Ford F-150 specs for the fuel economy place its 3.5L V6 engine at 18/25/20 mpg with the rear-wheel drive, and 17/23/19 mpg with the 4WD. Ostensibly, the Tundra has lost the game here, again.

2017 Toyota Tundra side angle, alloy wheels

In all fairness, the Tundra offers an awful lot to value. On the upside, though, the CrewMax legitimately offers a sprawl-out comfortable cabin and ride quality, the double cab is among the most spacious extended cabs available on the market, and the setback offers relatively copious amounts of space. In overall, the Toyota Tundra 2017 has a long way to go in order to catch up with rest of the vehicles.

Some of the rivals here include Nissan Titan XD, Ford F-150, Ram 1500, 2017 GMC Sierra, and the Chevy Silverado.

2017 Toyota Tundra Review of Trims

Depending on which configurations you choose (cab style and/or bed length), there are six trims offered for the 2017 Toyota Tundra: TRD Pro, Platinum, 1794 Edition, Limited, SR, and SR5. These are further furnished with an incredible level of features and options.

2017 Toyota Venza Release Date and Specs

2017 Toyota Venza – There have been rumors that the Toyota Venza will probably be discontinued from the market, however, new reports indicate the new vehicle is bound for dealerships sometime next year. Although lagging in some respects, the newest 2017 Toyota Venza offers a couple of things to write home about. The Toyota Venza release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017, at least for the USA market and later elsewhere.

2017 Toyota Venza white color, alloy wheels and headlights

Some of the highlights that define the newest Venza include its carefully crafted doors that allow for easy ingress and egress, excellent V6 engine, and roomy interior accommodations. But even so, the Venza offers serious reasons to think twice for would-be consumers. This is necessitated by the fat it has a spotty interior quality, middling fuel economy ratings, lacking in advanced safety features, and sub-par material quality.

2017 Toyota Venza side view, black color

Latest Toyota Venza rumors indicate the vehicle will come with an improved powertrain that will help resuscitate its once revered performance not just in terms of offering higher horsepower and torque but also in improving its EPA rating. Another aspect about the Venza that the Japanese marque is investing efforts in is in its advanced safety systems. Its rivals redesigns have improved in leaps and bounds it’s only natural that the Venza comes competitively equipped if is to regain its once revered position at the helm of the segment’s totem pole.

2017 Toyota Venza rear angle, white color

That said, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Venza, as it is today, is that uncompetitive. On the contrary, it continues to be the class leader in terms of performance courtesy of its potent V6 engine. Its interior, though rather spotty, comes with several technologies that have already been confirmed such as a 360 surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a crisp and responsive infotainment system, and a slew of safety features.

2017 Toyota Venza front angle, grille and headlights

Just like the existing model, the new model also comes with ample cabin space that offers all its occupants enough head- and legroom. And as already mentioned above, the doors have been designed in such a way that they alloy for easy ingress and egress.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, there are couple of alternatives which we’d recommend first before giving the 2017 Toyota Venza the benefit of doubt. Rivals include 2017 Ford Edge, the Subaru Outback, and the Nissan Murano 2017.

2017 Toyota Venza rear view, taillights and tailpipe

The 2017 Nissan Murano release date is expected sometime later next year with a base price averaging around $29,660. For that price, features to expect include a spacious and upscale interior, nice balance of fuel economy and power, and comfortable and supportive seats. Unconfirmed reports have it that the 2017 Nissan Murano redesigns have also roped-in more torque and power.

2017 Toyota Venza exterior

The 2017 Ford Edge price starts at an MSRP of around $28,700. Rumors have it that Ford Edge spy photos show a completely redesigned model that comes with a completely different front and rear fascia. Little is known about the Edge but my crystal ball tells me the vehicle will most likely be released late next year as a 2018 year model.

2017 Toyota Venza Review of Trims

The previous model provided three trims, we’re not sure how many the new model will come with as there’s scanty information as regards that. However, if Toyota makes available the current lineup, then we should expect up to three trims: XLE, Limited, and the base LE.

For starters, the vehicle is in its fourth-year of production of the current generation and remains a top pick in its category thanks to its many talents that other crossovers are finding difficult to match.

2017 Toyota Highlander rear view, taillights and alloy wheels

This is the kind of vehicle that is perfectly meant for people who don’t particularly like the idea of a V8 powerplant powered toy-hauling behemoth, or those who find minivans repelling. The Highlander offers five distinct trim levels, a choice of four-cylinder or V6 engines, and front- or all-wheel drive, and a successively long list of standard features. Throw in the copious amounts of interior accommodations, and stylish looks and you’ve got yourself a perfect three-row family crossover.

By virtue of its spacious and comfortable cabin, the Highlander is one particular stand out regardless of the trim level. Its weight notwithstanding, it offers an effortless acceleration thanks to its smooth six-speed automatic transmission system and refined V6.

Additionally, its interior is packed with some of the latest technologies and materials. Its eight-inch touchscreen interface, for instance, is among our favorites thanks to its crisp layout, impressive responsive times, and easy-to-use functionality.

Despite its “A” rating in its category, there are other vehicles in the segment that parallel it in some areas. These rivals include the 2017 Honda Pilot, Hyundai Santa Fe, Dodge Durango 2017 , and Ford Explorer for 2017.

New 2017 Toyota RAV4 – Release Date, Specs & Info

The new 2017 Toyota RAV4 offers an impressive combination of passenger space, everyday utility, striking balance of ride comfort and secure handling, respectable fuel economy ratings, and a well-sorted tech interface. The Toyota RAV4 release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017.

2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, side view, blue color, alloy wheels

The Toyota RAV4 2017 seems to have it all: space, boatload of equipment, comfort amenities, and decent road manners. Trouble is, there are tons of competitors out there in its class that threaten every facet of its mechanical and functional tidbits while others go a few steps forward in others.

Luckily, Toyota seems to have mastered the art of rejuvenating a vehicle. Various areas have been tinkered with in the hopes of resuscitating its appeal, and by the looks of things seems to be working well. The exterior is subtly massaged and there’re no doubt that it has modernized the crossover’s mien. For those looking for a sporty feel, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 SE is perhaps their best bet.

2017 Toyota RAV4 spy shots, front view

The 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid hasn’t been left out either. According to Toyota, the new model comes with improved exterior styling that gives it a bold front end that creates a chiseled look. Some of the unique features available on the hybrid include LED headlights and DRL, unique S-Code paint treatment, stylish rear bumper, unique wheel designs, elegant interior, illuminated SE gauge cluster display, and a smart key system. The Rav4 Hybrid MSRP starts from $28,370.

2017 Toyota RAV4 front and rear view, taillights and headlights

The RAV4 isn’t without faults, some of these include mediocre fuel economy ratings and subpar driving dynamics. On the upside, though, its impressive cabin space carries on unchanged. The cargo space, further aback, is also impressive and well-suited to carry lots of cargo even when the backseats aren’t folded. Throw in the RAV4’s dependability and you’ve got yourself an excellent vehicle suitable for everyday usability.

2017 Toyota RAV4 side view, red color, alloy wheels

Inasmuch as we like the newest Toyota RAV4, there are other vehicles in the segment that standout from the rest in various aspects. Take for instance the Subaru Forester. It offers best in-class acceleration and stout turbocharged engine. The Subaru Forester 0-60 mph takes about 6.3 seconds with the 2.0XT Touring model. The Honda CR-V is in fact the closest direct rival to the RAV4. It offers superior fuel economy ratings, versatile cabin, and is more dependable. Lastly, you can check out the 2017 Mazda CX-5 – it may lack the functionality aspect when compared to the rest of the vehicles in the segment but offers a rewarding drive quality akin to no other in this class.

2017 Toyota RAV4 Review of Trims

2017 Toyota RAV4 side view, headlights and alloy wheels
